Thibaut Courtois has branded the transfer market as crazy, with exorbitant fees paid for average players.
The Belgium international goalkeeper feels Chelsea did well in the transfer market, despite a failure to sign a number of players. The likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain, Llorente and Barkley rejected the chance to join the blues.
But deals for Drinkwater, Zappacosta, Rudiger, Bakayoko, Caballero and Morata were completed and Courtois feels good business was done.
The Belgium international goalkeeper told Sky Sports News: “The market now is a bit crazy.
“Really high prices for players who maybe don’t have that value. It makes it hard for teams to buy players for the right price.
“But after all I think Chelsea did a good job and I think we have a good squad to face the season.”
